Food & Drink A fabulous spot over the water with the sound of waves lapping under the deck is the "Dodgy Dock Restaurant & Lounge Bar" at the True Blue Bay Resort. The menu has a delicious combination of Caribbean and Mexican dishes prepared with local produce and seasoned with wonderful Grenadian spices. It is a great place for drinks, lunch, snacks or dinner. Their unique "Dodgy Style Bites" menu is available all day and offers a delicious combination of healthy salads, seafood and contemporary versions of some old local recipies. The Bar at the True Blue Bay Resort is a local favourite, as the bartenders seem to dream-up Caribbean-created cocktails that keep guests and locals alike coming back for more. For some more serious nightlife, check out "Bananas" on a Friday and Saturday night, which is also a seafood restaurant. The Monmot Hotel has a bar and also its own restaurant, "Gaths", which serves good local dishes in an atmospheric setting overlooking the floodlit pool. In walking distance you have the choice of other restaurants such as "Rhodes", Gary Rhodes only restaurant in the Caribbean, pricey but excellent, Pizza at at the Prickly Bay Marina, "Choo Light" for an inexpensive Chinese or the "Red Crab" for great steaks. For a special night out in Grenada, book a table at the Aquarium, which was certainly one of our favourites. It is probably one of the best restaurants on the island with tropical ambience and a superb beach setting. The bar on the beach is also the perfect spot for a sundowner in the late afternoon. |
